Anita Raghavan, MD – Pediatrics

“My motto when treating my patients and teaching is, ‘the eyes cannot see what the mind does not know.’  I love learning anything new and this is why WumbleBaby drew me in. I feel that the more parents and families know, the safer they will feel caring for their littles. My experience with healthcare innovation has shown me that there is a big gap between what my patients need and what products and services are out there. WumbleBaby fills one of these gaps and I’m so excited to help it grow!”

Hi, I am a board-certified pediatrician with a specialization in the care of acutely sick children admitted to the hospital. I am currently working as an Academic Pediatric Hospitalist at Akron Children’s Hospital and was previously at Advocate Children’s Hospital for 6 years prior. I have experience in training the next generation of pediatricians as faculty for residency programs and other physicians as an assistant professor for medical schools. I also have experience in healthcare innovation; I was the Physician Partner of Innovation at Advocate Children’s Hospital and am currently continuing this work in Ohio.

I graduated from the Chicago Medical School in 2009 and completed my Pediatrics residency training at the University of Chicago, Comer Children’s Hospital in 2012.

I was born and raised in Chicago and have a love of deep-dish pizza and am an eternal fan of Michael Jordan. My family recently moved to Cleveland, OH in the summer of 2018 and we just celebrated my son’s first birthday in February. We love cooking at home, going to the children’s museum with our son and are excited about the last season of Game of Thrones!

Lisa Lockett, CNM – Certified Nurse Midwife

“The actual meaning of Midwife is ‘with woman.’ Providing care to women throughout their lifespan — from adolescence to childbearing to menopause — has been nothing short of an honor. Educating and empowering women to learn about their bodies and be their body’s advocate has been my absolute passion.”

Hi! My name is Lisa Lockett, and I am a Certified Nurse Midwife. I have been a practicing nurse midwife for about 5 years. Prior to midwifery, I worked as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, and then going way back, as a Labor and Delivery and Pediatric Registered Nurse. I didn't take the textbook path to becoming a midwife but I've known since the age of 5, that this was my true calling.

Outside of midwifery, I am happily married, and together we have 4 children. They range in ages from 7-13 so our life can be fairly chaotic between balancing work and home life. Our children are very active, so our free time usually consists of attending their football games, wrestling meets, soccer games, hockey games, dance competitions, or ski clubs. I am an avid runner, food connoisseur, and travel addict.

Jessica McCardell, MSW, LCSW – Behavioral/Mental Health Provider

“Patient care begins with listening to a patient's needs to create a collaborative alliance that promotes coping skills, empowerment and overall improvement to a patient's quality of life.”

Away from the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my family including our two German shepherds. I have been married to my husband for 10 years. I enjoy training for triathlons and other fitness endeavors as well as taking time to relax and not take life too seriously.

Christy Liebe, RN, IBCLC - Lactation Specialist / Car Seat Tech

“It is my honor and privilege to support and work alongside new mothers and fathers as they experience their new season of life.”

Learn more about Christy >

Hi, I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). I’ve been a nurse for nearly 25 years and have been working in the lactation field for the last 6 years. When I started nursing I wasn’t quite certain what my passion would be. I worked in a clinic and in a pediatric psychiatric hospital before I found a love for Labor & Delivery. I took a brief break to learn the ‘behind the scenes’ business end of hospital care which eventually left me longing to return to patient care and moms and babies. Lactation was the perfect fit!

I have an active and rapidly changing family life. My husband and I have been married for 23 years and have two children graduating college this year and one just beginning high school. I am constantly learning in this new season of life!

MaryAnne Scherer, CNM - Certified Nurse Midwife

"After my own less than optimal birth experience, I found the path to midwifery. I came into the profession with a passion for empowering women and families to be fully informed & educated in approaching their healthcare experiences. I have found midwifery to be more rewarding than I could have imagined. Working with women throughout their lifespan and during some of the most vulnerable times in their lives creates a bond between patient and clinician that is unlike any other."
